Becoming An Apprentice

Becoming an apprentice is the beginning of your journey as an irrigation professional in Connecticut. At first the pathway may be confusing. CICA is here to help their members navigate to the J-4 to J-3 licenses.

Two things to know:

An apprentice must be registered with the Connecticut Department of Labor.  The company that the apprentice works for must also be registered.

If you feel you meet the requirements due to education or experience you may present your case to the Connecticut Plumbing Board, Department of Consumer Protection.
