New for 2025: NON-ESSENTIAL OUTDOOR WATER BAN for Aquarion customers in Newtown and Bethel

Flood damage downstream of Aquarion’s Newtown wellfield continues to impede the Pootatuck river flow so that water is ponded over our drinking water supply wells. The wells will be out of service until the river flow is restored (and water is no longer ponded on our wells). We will provide the definition of “non-essential” and answer your questions.

Review for 2025: Twice-Weekly Sprinkler Irrigation Schedule

Our Twice-Weekly Irrigation schedule is in its ninth year and in 17 towns. We will review the towns where the schedule is in effect, our variance program, and answer your questions.
