Class 101: Understanding Irrigation: Study Guide for the CT Irrigation License
For the irrigation professional who is studying for the CT State Irrigation License (J-3 or J-4) and for the beginner who needs a basic understanding of irrigation.

Description: Using the State of CT Irrigation License (J-3 and J-4) test reference (“Simplified Irrigation Design”, P. Melby 2nd edition) as an outline, this course will provide a basic understanding of irrigation concepts. It will review field hydraulics, piping, basic design, precipitation rates and scheduling. It is an excellent study guide and precursor for professionals who plan to take the test for licensing. And, it will provide a basic understanding of irrigation for beginners and other landscaping professionals interested in irrigation.

Class 102: Irrigation Design
For the Irrigation/Landscape Professional with experience who interested in expanding their knowledge of irrigation design concepts.
Length: 1 day

Description: Learn concepts required for irrigation design. This course will cover hydraulics, pipe sizing, matched precipitation rate calculations, head layout techniques and zoning principles. This class will also incorporate the latest technology in central controls, two-wire, and sensor capabilities. It is considered an intermediate/advanced course for people who have a basic understanding of irrigation principles and who want to learn more about design and the latest technology.

Class 103 State of Connecticut CEU Credits (CODE class) with a special session on Irrigation Pumps
For all irrigation license holders who require CEU credits to renew their State of Connecticut J-3 or J-4 license.
Length: 1 day (for J-3) / ˝ day (for J-4)
Date: January 31, 2008
Description: Required course for renewal of the State of Connecticut J-3 and J-4 irrigation license. This course includes a technical portion on the concepts and use of irrigation pumps. This class contains 7 Hours for CEU credits as required by the State of Connecticut. The 7 Hours includes 5 hours of technical training and 2 hours of business training. The technical training includes 2 ˝ hours of plumbing & irrigation related topics as provided by CODE instructors and 2 ˝ hours of Irrigation Pump training as provided by a CICA instructor (Matt Cass of BISCO). The 2 hours of business training will also be provided by a CODE instructor.
